Jeju Air's total passenger traffic tops 60 mln

SEOUL, Dec. 4 (Yonhap) -- Jeju Air Co., South Korea's biggest low-cost carrier by sales, said Tuesday its accumulated passenger traffic exceeded 60 million as of Monday after 12 1/2 years of operations.
Jeju Air began operations in June 2006 and its annual passenger traffic growth has averaged 37 percent, the company said in a statement.
If the passenger traffic growth rate averages 18 percent annually, the company expects to transport 100 million passengers by 2021, the airline said.
