Hite Jinro's low-alcohol drink to hit Thai convenience stores
SEOUL, Dec. 4 (Yonhap) -- Hite Jinro Co., a major South Korean liquor maker, said Tuesday that one of its low-alcohol products will be sold at convenience stores in Thailand.
Isul Tok Tok, sparkling drink with peach and pineapple flavors, will be available at some 1,500 outlets operated by convenience store chain, Lotus Express.
Since first tapping into the Southeast Asian country 2015, Hite Jinro has rolled out various products, including soju, a traditional distilled liquor.
The company said sales of soju jumped by 27 percent over the past three years on the back of huge popularity of the so-called Ready To Drink products among people in the 20's and 30's.
