SEOUL, Dec. 9 (Yonhap) -- LG Electronics, one of the largest consumer appliance manufacturers in the world, said Sunday that is operating a "pop-up house" at this year's Art Basel Miami Beach exhibition to show off its premium Signature series products.
The exhibition held in Florida is ranked as one of the most prestigious in the art sector and is the largest gathering of its kind in the United States.
Some 270 galleries from 35 countries are taking part in this year's event, which kicked off Thursday for a four day run.
LG said that it has engaged in collaboration work with several renowned artists to best represent LG Signature appliance's "The Art of Essence" design philosophy.
The work of the artists was reflected in the company's lineup of high-end TVs, refrigerators and air purifiers, it said.
"The pop-up exhibit is aimed at showcasing the Signature collection's superb design and at leveraging this advantage to the fullest in the marketing area," an LG representative said. He said every effort will be made going forward to allow consumers to experience the Signature brand's excellent quality and design.
