Vice unification minister to visit Japan for talks on N.K. policy
SEOUL, Dec. 10 (Yonhap) -- Vice Unification Minister Chun Hae-sung was to visit Japan on Monday for meetings with Japanese government and parliamentary officials about North Korea policy, the ministry said.
During the three-day visit, Chun was scheduled to hold meetings with Vice Foreign Minister Takeo Akiba and Kenji Wakamiya, chairman of the foreign affairs committee at Japan's House of Representatives, as well as other officials, according to the ministry.
Chun also plans to meet with Japanese security experts to talk about Seoul's North Korea policy.
The ministry said it is a routine trip aimed at exchanging views on North Korea policy between the two neighboring countries.
