SEOUL, Jan. 4 (Yonhap) -- Eight vehicles made by Hyundai Motor Co. and its sister Kia Motors Corp. have won good design awards for 2018 in the United States, the companies said Friday.

The models received the 2018 Good Design Award in the transportation category from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies, they said.

The vehicles include two Genesis models, sold as an independent brand from vehicles carrying the Hyundai emblem, and four Hyundai brands, including the Santa Fe SUV.
