Jeju buses to provide foreign language service
JEJU, Jan. 10 (Yonhap) -- Buses and bus stops on South Korea's southern resort island of Jeju will offer a foreign language service for foreign tourists' convenience starting next month, the Jeju government said Thursday.
To that end, 856 buses on the island will be equipped with bus information terminals (BITs) that provide bus information in Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese via voice and electronic boards, it said.
BITs will also be available at 904 bus stops located near the island's major tourist attractions.
The service includes the names of the current and coming bus stops, bus departure and arrival times and current bus locations, it added.
