K-pop band makes appearance at Grammy Awards in Hyundai Palisade SUV
SEOUL, Feb. 11 (Yonhap) -- The K-pop boy band sensation BTS arrived at a red carpet event for the 61st Grammy Awards on Monday riding Hyundai Motor Co.'s flagship Palisade SUV.
BTS, which was named the global brand ambassador for the three-row crossover, attended this year's Grammy Awards in Los Angeles as award presenters, a first for a South Korean group.
The group earlier promoted the Palisade SUV at a car show by starring in a special introduction video, South Korea's No. 1 carmaker said. It added the boy band participated in the "Always Remarkable" global campaign to showcase the vehicle, which was first unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year.
"BTS arriving at the Grammys in the Palisade helped show off the excellent design and value of the vehicle to music fans all over the world," a Hyundai spokesperson said.
The carmaker plans to introduce the Palisade in the United States in the coming months to boost sales and expand its SUV lineup. The new vehicle will join the all-new Santa Fe SUV, launched in the key North American market last summer.
