SEOUL, Feb. 26 (Yonhap) -- National Assembly Speaker Moon Hee-sang on Tuesday expressed hopes that South Korea and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will continue to pursue "mutually-beneficial" cooperation in various fields.

Moon made the remarks during his meeting with UAE Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, who arrived in Seoul earlier in the day for a two-day official visit.

"I hope that South Korea and the UAE, as brother nations that look 100 hundred years ahead together, will continuously seek mutually beneficial cooperation," the speaker said during the meeting at the Assembly.

"The UAE is one of the core friendly countries in the Middle East. Cooperation between our two countries is at the best level," he added.

The crown prince was quoted as saying that South Korea and his country have a solid, special strategic partnership. He also described South Korea as "like my second home."

"I anticipate that exchanges (between the two countries) will continue so that such a relationship will further develop and continue into future generations," he added.

He also expressed his wish for peace on the divided peninsula.
