SEOUL, April 1 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai Motor Co.'s motorsports team won the Tour de Corse, the French leg of the 2019 World Rally Championship, the company said Monday.
In the fourth competition of the world rally championship, Hyundai's Thierry Neuville, who drove the carmaker's i20 performance model, outpaced rivals such as Elfyn Evans in the final power stage, the company said in a statement.
Hyundai Motor has actively participated in global motorsports events as part of its effort to promote its brand and products.
Hyundai's motorsports team plans to participate in the fifth competition of the championship, which opens in Argentina on April 25, it said.
