SEOUL, April 17 (Yonhap) -- Genesis, the independent luxury brand of Hyundai Motor Co., has unveiled a premium electric concept car at the New York International Auto Show, the company said Wednesday.
Designers from the automaker's design centers in Korea, Europe and the United States worked together to develop the 'Mint Concept.' The concept electric vehicle can travel up to 321 kilometers on a single charge, Hyundai said in a statement.
"The company plans to manufacture the concept model into a battery-powered city car but the plan may change depending on market demand," a company spokesman said.
Genesis has displayed six models, including the concept car, G70 sedan, G80 sports sedan and G90 sedan, at the New York auto show, which opened to the public Wednesday and lasts through April 28, the statement said.
