The freezing weather continues today.
Despite the cold, many people chose the outdoors to enjoy the winter rather than staying warm indoors.

At the start signal, people start running through the cold wind, shirtless.
Men took their shirts off, and women are wearing short-sleeve shirts in this shirtless marathon competition.
On their bare skin, people wrote messages like the names of the people they love and their wishes for the New Year.
<Park Sun-hee, Koo Go-eun / Yonghyeon-dong, Uijeongbu> “I got to see ducks and pretty white grass. It was exhausting, but running made it less cold, and I feel like all of my wishes will come true this year.”
Though the winter is freezing with the biting wind, people have come outside for outdoors activities to fight against the cold.
The line for the ski lift is also very long at this ski resort.
Some boast of their amazing ski skills, while others fall on their backsides, but everyone looks happy.
The feeling of sliding down the slope is all the more exciting with the cold weather.
<Choi Min-cheol / Sangdang-gu, Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province> “I came with my friends, and I feel great and a lot less stressed. Staying home can be suffocating, so being outdoors feels really good.”
People have chosen to come outside and fight the cold instead of staying at home in the winter.
They also reminded themselves of their wishes for the New Year.
<Recording> “Cheers for 2016!”
