Since an agreement was reached between Korea and Japan over the issue of comfort women last year, two victims paid a visit to Japan for the first time.
The victims, Ms. Lee Ok-sun and Ms. Kang Il-chul, went to Japan via Tokyo's Haneda Airport. They plan to testify about their experiences in places like Tokyo and Osaka until Feb. 1.
The two women held a press conference at 10 a.m. on Jan. 26 at Visiting Room 1 in the First Assembly Room of the Tokyo House of Representatives. At 2 p.m., they plan to move to the Grand Conference Room at the Assembly Hall to call for the nullification of the Korea-Japan agreement and testify to the horrors of their sufferings.
