A “Canola Bride” appeared in the endless field of canola flowers near the Nakdong River.
The place is open for free to brides who wish to have a wedding in the canola field by the river.
Cha Geun-ho has more.
A yellow field of canola spreads endlessly along the Nakdong River.
A bride in a white wedding dress and a groom in a tuxedo are getting married.
Canola flowers rustle in the spring breeze as they would in a painting.
The city of Busan married twelve “Canola Brides” today.
The couples include a couple in their early twenties, a multi-cultural couple, and an elderly couple in their seventies.
<Lee Da-yeon / Bride> “I feel special to have an outdoor wedding. The weather is great and flowers smell wonderful; I feel really happy.”
The canola field at the Nakdong River was developed in 2011 and is the largest in the country.
In April, flowers are in full bloom for the festival.
<Hwang Tae-young / Mora-dong, Sasang-gu, Busan> “I came here to take pictures, and I am really happy that the pictures turned out great.”
<Suh Ye-jin / Sambang-dong, Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam Province> “I came here with my friends to make memories, and I hope all four of us get inspired by beautiful canola blossoms and enter prestigious universities.”
From this year, the city of Busan is opening the field for free to all those who wish to have an outdoor wedding or take wedding photos here.
