Lonely Planet, famous as a bible for backpackers around the world, ranked Jeonju Hanok Village third out of the ten top spots in Asia to visit in the coming year.

Lonely Planet writes that Jeonju Hanok Village has "Korea's best-preserved" hanoks (traditional Korean homes), and that there are hundreds of hanoks with "gracefully upturned roofs housing an intriguing assortment of museums, teahouses and artisans' workshops."

It also recommended that "in Jeonju, you should go for not only the traditional cuisine but also the street food and night market."
