Continuing since yesterday, the way to work is quite chilly this morning as well.

Many places in the inland area are reported to have recorded their lowest morning temperatures in the morning this fall.

You should be dressed warmly when you leave your houses.

Kim Do-yeon has more on the weather.

[Reporter]

This Monday commute is quite chilly.

Some citizens are spotted wearing quite thick clothing.

Many people wearing thin layers walk with their shoulders hunched.

In the high mountainous areas in Gangwon Province, the temperature at dawn today actually dropped to -1.8 degrees, which is lower than the freezing point.

Besides this, many places also recorded the lowest morning temperatures for this year.

The temperature dropped to 7 degrees in Suwon of Gyeonggi Province, 5.8 degrees in Chuncheon, and 2.8 degrees in Cheorwon.

This earlier-than-usual autumn chill will not last too long.

For starters, the wind will quiet down compared with yesterday.

After recovering to the seasonal average in the middle of the week, the temperature will gradually rise.

For a while, we will be in the high atmospheric pressure zone, which will give us clear skies.

Today, the air will be clean across the country and the sky will be clear.

But, with cold air remaining in the upper atmospheric layers, and with the clear sky, the daily temperature differences will be quite large.

The daytime temperature today will be 20 degrees in Seoul, 19 in Daejeon and Jeonju, and 20 in Gwangju and Daegu. This is still a bit lower than the usual averages but will be about 3 degrees higher compared with yesterday.

Please be dressed appropriately for this suddenly chilly weather.

This was today’s weather report from Gwanghwamun.
