Former U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, who served as a visiting professor at Harvard University since dropping out of the presidential elections, returned to South Korea yesterday on July 5.
Mr. Ban will start working in his office on the Sinchon campus of Yonsei University starting July 6. He will also serve as an honorary director and chair professor for the university's Global Social Contribution Center, which specializes in missionary and volunteer work on campus.
An official from Yonsei University stated, "Mr. Ban will play his role as an extension to the sustainable achievement of the development goals that he had pushed forward with while serving as the U.N. Secretary General."
