A state-panel that was launched in July of last year to find the truth of the Sewol ferry disaster closes its operations today.
The panel will submit reports detailing its 13-month efforts to President Moon Jae-in and will hold a press conference to explain its activities.
The panel played a key role in refloating the ship and finding the bodies of four victims.
But it failed to look into the exact cause of the disaster as it reached the conclusion that the ship was partly capsized due to overloading and that a sudden turn also led to the disaster.
