A group of South Korean consumers are jointly preparing a lawsuit against BMW over its vehicles catching fire.

According to Barun Law, which represents the plaintiffs, the four owners of a BMW vehicle model took legal actions against the Germen carmaker and its dealership partner Deutsch Motors over the recent fires in the car, with each seeking two million won in damages.

Tomorrow, around 30 owners are expected to file a lawsuit against the carmaker for the same reason, and 350 more people are expected to do so next week.

Separately, the Korea Consumer Association is also preparing to take legal action with 100 members of a BMW car owners' club. It will recruit more plaintiffs in the following weeks.
