Bereaved family members of the victims of the 1948 bloody uprising on South Korea's southern island of Jeju head to the U.S. Embassy to deliver 100,000 signatures calling for the United States to take responsibility for the incident on Oct. 31, 2018. More than 14,000 Jeju islanders were killed by brutal government suppression of the April 3 rebellion waged in 1948 against elections that were held only in the southern part of Korea. At that time, Korea was under U.S. military rule. (Yonhap)
