U.S. returns 4 closed bases to S. Korea

This photo, provided by the Wonju municipality on Dec. 11, 2019, shows Camp Long, a closed U.S. military base in the city, 130 km east of Seoul. Seoul said the same day that the United States returned Camp Long and three other closed bases in South Korea, and both sides began the long-awaited return process for the Yongsan Garrison in central Seoul. The three other returned bases are Camp Eagle in Wonju; parcels of Camp Market in Bupyeong, just west of the capital; and the Shea Range parcel at Camp Hovey in Dongducheon, just north of Seoul.
