This photo, provided by Defense Media Agency, shows a bust of Korean independence fighter Hong Beom-do in Kazakhstan. Hong, the general commander of the Korean independence army during the 1910-45 Japanese colonial rule of the Korean Peninsula, died in Kazakhstan at age 75 and is buried there. During his visit to Kazakhstan in April 2019, South Korean President Moon Jae-in told Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev he hoped to repatriate Hong's remains. The remains are likely to return as early as August, a government source said on June 2, 2020. (PHOTO NOT FOR SALE) (Yonhap)
