This photo taken on Oct. 22, 2020, shows the Chinese characters "jeongcho," meaning cornerstone, at the currency museum of the Bank of Korea's headquarters. The Korea Cultural Administration has confirmed that the characters for the cornerstone of the former Bank of Chosen were written with a brush by Hirobumi Ito, the first Japanese governor-general of the Korean Peninsula, before being inscribed. Korea was under Japan's colonial rule from 1910-45. (Yonhap)
