Military vehicles transport equipment to the site of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) base in the town of Seongju, about 220 kilometers south of Seoul, on Jan. 22, 2021, after police broke up a sit-in by a group of residents and activists opposing the installation of the missile defense system.
