Donations top target

The "thermometer of love" at a plaza in front of Seoul City Hall rests at 105.6 C on Jan. 22, 2021, as a nationwide campaign, launched by the Community Chest of Korea charity group and aimed at encouraging people to make donations for the needy, has topped its target. The thermometer goes up by one degree whenever 1 percent of the target of 350 billion won (around US$316.16 million) is collected. (Yonhap)
