Work to move boxes containing 20 tons of fresh eggs from the United States is underway at Incheon International Airport on Jan. 25, 2021. Over the past week, the average consumer price of eggs shot up 24.8 percent on-year due to the supply shortage as the country's poultry farms were hit hard by highly pathogenic bird flu. South Korea plans to import up to a total of 50,000 tons of fresh eggs and seven other types of egg products without tariffs until the end of June.(Yonhap)
