Calling for censuring of Harvard professor

This photo shows a letter sent jointly by the associations of Korean residents in the United States to President Lawrence Bacow and Dean John Manning of Harvard University on Feb. 24, 2021. In the letter, the associations called for them to censure Harvard professor Mark Ramseyer for his "harmful" paper titled "Contracting For Sex In The Pacific War." Ramseyer, a war criminal enterprise Mitsubishi professor of Japanese legal studies at Harvard Law School, claimed in the paper that "comfort women" were not sex slaves but prostitutes who voluntarily worked in Japanese military brothels, inviting criticism from academic circles. Comfort women refer to around 200,000 Asian women, mostly Koreans, who were forcibly taken to front-line military brothels by the Japanese army during World War II. (Yonhap)
