Jeong Eun-kyeong (R), chief of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, announces a public statement against a planned large rally by the country's biggest umbrella union, the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU), at the government complex in Seoul on July 2, 2021. The progressive KCTU will hold the national workers' rally in Seoul on July 3, despite objections raised by the police and the Seoul city government due to fears over the spread of COVID-19. (Yonhap)
