S. Korea's COVID-19 vaccine candidate gets closer to approval

Seo Kyung-won, director general of the National Institute of Food and Drug Safety Evaluation, answers reporters' questions at the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in Cheongju, 140 kilometers south of Seoul, on June 27, 2022, after announcing that GBP510, also known as SKYCovione, South Korea's first COVID-19 vaccine candidate developed by SK Bioscience, was recommended during a meeting of the ministry's Central Pharmaceutical Review Committee the previous day as being ready for "item approval" in terms of its safety and efficacy.
