Lee Hyo-jeong, a vice spokesperson at the unification ministry in Seoul, expresses strong regret on Aug. 11, 2022, over North Korea's claim that the coronavirus had been introduced into North Korea via South Korea. Kim Yo-jong, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's sister and vice department director of the ruling Workers' Party's Central Committee, made the claim the previous day while threatening to review strong retaliation against it.
