Hazardous green algae is seen in waters off a swimming beach in the southeastern port city of Busan on Aug. 12, 2022, prompting the municipal authorities to close off the beach. The beach's closure came after green algae on the estuary of the city's Nakdong River flowed into the sea following torrential rain that hit the country's central region. (Yonhap)
