This image, captured from North Korea's Korean Central Television on Nov. 19, 2022, shows North Korean announcer Ri Chun-hee announcing that the North successfully launched a new type of the Hwasong-17 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) from Pyongyang International Airport the previous day. The North's leader Kim Jong-un declared a resolute nuclear response to threats by the United States during an on-site inspection of the test-firing, and the missile flew 999.2 kilometers for 4,135 seconds at an apogee of 6,040.9 km before falling into the East Sea, the KCNA said.
